| Dew Claws???? Can someone post a pic of dew claws I did not know what they are until I read here about them and today when I took my boys to get tails done I also asked my Vet to do the dew claws and he said that they did not have them?? So now I am very very confused!!! I dont know if they all have them? Is this normal?? |

| Most pups are born with dew claws but some aren't. If they're not there don't worry about it. They only remove them because they can be loose and get caught and torn. If they're there you'll find them on the inside of the foot, higher than the rest of the nails, near the wrist.

Do not worry about Dew Claws. The dew claws are farther up the inner sides of the legs. They are like the thumbs and really do not need to be removed. They are useless and yet do not hinder in any way unless your little guy runs a lot in the bushes where he could hook them and tear them. But that is so unlikely. You have a good vet who did not take advantage of you.
