| Borkie? Yoxer? Boxie? Yorxie? So my boyfriend's sister wants to breed my yorkie with her boxer... i think it might be a bad idea. I ned a professional opinion. PS, the yorkie is the male and the boxer is the female. |

Just out of curiousity, what's her reason for wanting to do this?

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Is this a joke ? I REALLY hope so NOT a good idea - not even remotely - There's lines you don't CROSS when breeding and it sounds like no one has a clue here - sorry - I don't mean to sound mean ....but that is just a BAD idea and I really hope it's not true.

| No!!! When I saw your quaetion - I got a really weird picture in my mind of what the pups might look like. Bad idea! Your boyfriend's sister must be way too young to know not to do this and to have even ask such a thing. T. |

| Definitely a NO. Not even funny....... Please do some research on this subject. There are already too many people who just "want to breed" their dog and don't realize the responsibility there is that goes with it. Your sisters boyfriend doesn't sound like he understands the importance of this subject either. Education is the best solution...... don't jump into this.... It is great that you decided to ask for opinions and advice! This is a great place to do so........ we all care very much about the well-being of not just Yorkies..... but all little Furkids! Thanks for asking..... hopefully you will make the right decision. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | something to think about. The shelters are FULL of mixes just like this - they're adding to a big problem in this country by even thinking this way - and if they go ahead and breed anyway (which they probably will) - then they're no better than the puppy mills and really bad breeders out there in it for the money and breeding anything they can. Follow your instinct and talk them out of it if you can. |

| I'm thinking this person is what they call a "troll". He/she has only posted one other thread, in which he/she did not respond to anyone's posts. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61185 No response here, either. Let's just let this one get buried, ok, guys? |

| She loves animals and thought they'd be cute. She wasn't going to sell them, she lives on a farm and says she'll keep them all. |

| Boxer and yorkies are my two favorite breeds, but they do not need to me mixed together. How old are you and how old is your sisters bf?
