| Parti color yorkie I have a question,I have been dealing with dobermans for about 13 years,I have never liked small dogs until I bought my first yorkie 10/01/06 the I bought 2 more on 10/3/06 now I bought a parti color male 12/08/06.I would like to know if 500.00 for a ok deal on a parti male 10 months old the only problem I have with him is that he is a little big for a yorkie he is 10 pounds. He was the last of the litter and the biggest his parents were 5 and 6 pounds,. Do you think that he will put out big pups or small pups. He is a cute boy I made sure that everything was all right with him and everything. His name is buster. And please if anyone has any info they think I should know about please let me know. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Do you want honesty ??? I'm NOT a breeder nor expert by any stretch - but have seen quite a few parties - and have quite a few of my friends pictures in my computer (of parties and biewers) ..... I can't say if he's a parti or not he seems like he could be a light yorkie & maybe that's a bad picture of him ??? ....but if he's 10 lbs - I would think he'd have pretty big puppies... He sure looks like he'd make a nice neutered pet for someone though - I bet he's a total sweetheart - |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | he looks like my kayko when he was younger i wouldnt breed him just for the safety of your female/s he is very cute i would neutered him (that should also stop or slow down the peeing )& keep him as a great pet JMO |

there are belly bands you can get to keep him from ruining your home - People right on this site make them if you go to the Products for Sale - or do a search on the blue bar running across the page - I don't have males but if I did and one marked -that's what I'd do - maybe some of the real breeders on the site can offer you better answers with your original question - good luck | |

| Parti Yorkie I wouldn't breed one that big to your small 8 pound female. If he was the largest in his litter, then he may have been a crop out on size, but you can't guarantee that it won't happen on your female and then you would be looking at a C section. With an 8 pound and 10 pound you are only going to get big pups I would say. As far as marking, if you have a female in the house, good luck. You may want to try a belly band but I have never gotten my male to stop marking. Had to go to all Tile floors and they don't get to come up to my wood floors any more. If I didn't love him so much I would re-think about putting a male in my house with a female again. Good luck! Diana |

| A few questions. Is he registered? do you have any idea of who his parents are. What do you know about the breeder? May I ask who you got him from? IMHO Althoush the pictures are not good, and it's hard to tell, he looks older than 10 months. No one out there is selling genuine parti color yorkie for $500 most of them are in the thousands. It takes either two parti carriers or one carrier and one colored to produce colored pups. I make belly bands if you're interested. they're posted on my website. | I got him from a breeder from Columbia SC,She had an ad on Charlotte.com she said the only reason she was selling him because he was too big for her females. Also all my other yorkies are Akc, one of them with a champion great grand father, but this tri male is CKC and was bred in Georgia, and I have that breeders number as well,he was born in February 06.Also to make sure that I was not getting scammed I called the breeder that I got my other two from and asked about this breeder, she told me that she knew her and that she was good people, also the breeder that I got the tri from her husband is a police office, even though I know that, that does not mean beans I also wrote her out a receipt with the price, that I was buying a tri colored male, and dogs is ckc.just to cover my tail,so if she is trying to play me,I have some proof for court,if it has to come to that. She has to mail me the papers because she forgot them when she was leaving SC I met her at petsmart in Matthews,NC she also came with one for her friends that's a breeder that sells oxyfreash and yorkies and crested and some other small dogs, and even though that does not mean squat I feel like I can trust her I have too much of her information not too.And just a question if its a yorkie has a base coat of white with a black saddle how can it not be a parti, just asking because I have only had Yorkies for about 2 months now, but I have been dealing with Dobermans for 13 + years and have three now along with the 4 yorkies I have.So i know more about the dobies and I have had every color there is to have with the exception of white, but how many colors of yorkies can there be, and how could this tri be this color if he is not a tri |

| Just because he has 3 colors does not mean he is all yorkie. I would find it very suspicious if someone met me at a pet store with a dog and "forgot" the papers. There are a lot of people here that are still waiting for papers years after a deal. CKC (Continental Kennel Club) is also notorious for registering the birth (not vouching for pedigree) of mixes and undocumented parentage puppies. Even though parti-colors are off-standard, it is only the color that is any different. Those breeding parti-colors to try for eventual AKC recognition are being very particular about what traits they are continuing. (Look here to see what a parti-color should look like: http://www.partiyorkies.com/Parti%20Yorkies.htm) My best dog of all time had to be spayed because it became very apparent that she was no where near the breed standard -- but what a loving dog! She was the best but her curly coat, over-size, etc. did not need to be continued in the breed. Her parents probably should not have been bred either. Since I did not buy a dog just for breeding, she was still perfect to us! I hope your tri-color will also be a great pet!
