| Choosing a puppy Hi all, My lovely Yorkie has puppies at the moment. They are nearly 5 weeks old. There are 3 very pretty females and I intend to keep one. Puppy A is the smallest, quite pretty. Puppies B and C are also small (not as small as A) and their paws seem to be a little larger. But their chin is a bit shorter and they've got an angelic face! They all seem to have a wonderful spirit. My heart goes for all three, but it's impossible to keep them all Any suggestions what to choose? Many thanks JohnF PUPPY A: http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...far/PUPPYA.jpg PUPPY B: http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...far/PUPPYB.jpg PUPPY C: http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...far/PUPPYC.jpg |

| I like puppy C.. wait till they are 9 weeks old.. you will see A LOT of difference in them, possibly making it easier to choose. I can't even imagine having to choose between all three.. Good Luck and Congrats on whichever you choose. Let us know

| They're all adorable, but I like puppy B, I'd keep her!

| I agree with the post about waiting until they are older and you will have a better idea. Also, pictures can look different everytime you take them and we can't see any body structure or coat quality, but on what you have posted I would keep No. 3, but maybe 2 because the ears look smaller. If you are planning on breeding her in the future, one that will mature to at least 5 pounds would also be very important. Coat quality, good bite, good knees, straight back, ear set, small ears, best conformation (height at withers, equal to length from collar to tail). Conformation as a puppy probably is a guess at best. |

| It depends on what your planning on using the pup for. A friend of mine that handles & breeds professionally taught me that you look at conformation at 8 weeks old and than don't look back until they're grown. If you're looking for show, conformation and temperment, if you're looking for a pet, go with your heart!

| The pups seem to change everyday. Sometimes I see Pup A nicer than C, and than B and C and A..... I just cannot 'set my heart' with a particular pup yet. Will do my best to stick to your advise JohnF |
