OOOps! A second litter may be on the way My Gidget had her first litter earlier this year and did great. She had 5 healthy girls and 1 boy. They were all healthy and happy and sold at 9 weeks. We are now probably looking at another litter in 2 months. We hadn't really wanted to breed again so soon but she is only 2 young and healthy. I do feel alittle guilty on not being more watchful and keeping them seperated at all times. A lesson learned, it doesn't matter how hard you tried, they need to be seperated at all times in sperate locked rooms. I am not so pleased that it will be cold when these pups deliver due to the fact that our utility room (baby room) does not have heat and we will have to make other accomedations. Oh well. What a horrible mom I am.

All you can do iss try not to have any accidents. My frankie is in heat. Ceeby has been sniffing for a day or so. yesterday, she was flirting outrageously wwith him. I picked her up and saw blood. into the crate she wwent. She never made a sound last night and Ceeby is having his turn in the crate this morning. i don't think I can breed her this time. i am going to check her records from the lady i bought her from. Plus, this is going to be so hard. kandy (her sister) has four day old puppies. I don't think I want to sets of babies under foot at the same time.

There is nothing wrong with breeding twice and breaking one. It's the norm for most breeders. Now days ...they make good small heaters you can use in your utility room . Good luck on your up coming pups.

As long as she is healthy and had an easy delivery, I also breed twice and rest once. Congratulations!
