| Possible pregnancy... I was planning on using another male for my girl Lexie but it turns out my boy Romeo might have had his own plans this time around. I woke up this morning to some funny noise and found out the crate I had locked Romeo in last night had proved useless since he had become the little escape artist and found his way out and to Lexie who he just happened to jump the puppy fence and (I have no clue how many times) went all humpy with her. I don't know when or how to tell but I can tell you when I caught them he was not shy about it, lol. He had a big dopey look on his face too, lol. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry...lol. At this point I am just going to accept whatever happens as a blessing because I did want babies and they are both Continental Kennel Club. :-) So now I ask...How long before you can tell anything??? lol. Lexie was in her second week of her heat...she started it the night of the 29th...this happened the 10th-11th night to morning since I have no clue when he got out or how long. I am debating on letting him back around her to go ahead and try to make sure she is going to get pregnant now since this did happen since I did want babies this time and I don't wanna try with another male and risk confusion on who the daddy is. Besides Romeo is a cutie and would make cute babies. I just need advice. :-) ~Tru

I Love Thor Donating Member | Oh man...Sounds like someone had a fun Saturday night planned for this weekend!! I would say that if you are accepting of this situation, which it sounds like you are, then I would let them together again and let nature take it's course!! |

| At this point you may as well let them go for it. It'll be a few weeks before you know if she's pregnant but your first indication will be that her vulva remains swollen instead of returning to normal.

| Well Lexie has been quiet tonight. She wants to sleep all of the time and is all kissy. :-) Romeo still wants to get to her but she wants nothing to do with him now. She just wants to sleep. lol. I think he wore her out too much, lol. He has way too much energy! ;-P ~Tru

| ok Lexie is in a mood now... Lexie will now let my other girls around me when she is near me. She gets mad and picks rough and violent fights and I end up having to separate them. She is getting meaner every day. I have no idea what to do? Any ideas? She has never ever acted like this before...I don't know what has gotten into her! If she lays down by me and Chloe (my chihuahua or Juliet comes near me she attacks them. She is bigger and I have to grab her to keep her from hurting them. It is starting to worry me. She then lays down and turns over and wants me to rub her tummy which is also something she has NEVER EVER wanted me to do before!!! She is acting so weird!!! Like a completely different dog!!! She wants me to rub her tummy all of the time. This started 2 days ago...but has gotten worse today. I can't let her around anyone today...not even Romeo. She doesn't want anyone near me. When she sees them near me even from her crate she freaks out and gets hysterical!!! I have to hold her until she calms down. (Then rub her tummy until she falls asleep again.) She is a weird yorkie, lol. I am trying to make her comfortable but I can't figure out what is wrong. I do know that she is very happy when I rub her tummy and she has always been a yorkie who has never wanted to be touched. Not even held...Now she suddenly wants to be in my lap 24-7 and to cuddle...it is like i'm in the twilight zone, lol. ;-) ~Tru

| Pregnant ladies? Hi, I just thought I would write to let you know that my Katie I think might be pregnant too. She bred with her buddy Max on the 4th (first time) and she has been showing some of the signs you are talking about. She has always been affectionate but in the past week or so it has increased. She wants to be in my lap or her tummy rubbed all the time! The past few days she has had what I believe to be morning sickness? She won't touch food in the morning and has gotten sick a couple of times...then eats later in the day. I plan on taking her to the vet when it is time to check to see if she can feel puppies. I will let you know what I find out but in the meantime maybe we can compare notes!
