| is this a phantom pregnancy maggie is showing all the signs of pregnancy her mood is very docile her belly is getting a little bigger scrappy did attempt to mate with her a couple of times but never tied he definitely entered her but when he turned for a tie they lost it could she still be pregnant? i thought they had to tie or do you think she is having a false alarm . if she is she is due the second week in december i really am unsure advice please you see they were alone quite a bit i normally keep my eye on them but when mags was ready to mate my daddy died so i was away a lot and unable to closely monitor them |

| My Boykin Spaniel had a phantom pregnancy this year. She was near no male dogs during this period of time but she got a big belly, I could even express milk from her at her biggest, just like she was ready to whelp...it is the oddest thing!! Now her belly is finally back to normal size and the symptoms are gone but it took a long time for her to return back to normal...hope this helps.. Dawn |

| Most breeders will agree that you don't need a tie to get pregnant. Happens all the time. |
