Default Hershey's due....temperature question

Hi There,

My Hershey is 57 days today. I began taking her temperature 2 days ago. It's been consistently around 100.3. Well, this morning it was 99.8 and I took it this afternoon and it's 98! Isn't it too early for her temp to drop? I didn't think she would have them so soon?!

Unless she's having contractions, I wouldn't worry about it. Their temps will fluctuate especially in the last days. My Gracie's temp would drop to the low 96 degree range, stay for a while (like a hour) then start climbing back up again.

They'll also get restless, may start nesting or searching for a place. You may even notice some wetness in their vaginal area. Some will not eat the day of whelping so that's why it's important to stay around the house the last few days.

.
I meant to go somewhere with this. When it would get to the low 96 degree range and start back up, we had pups within 24 hours.

she may have a little discharge for a couple of days. If there is blood in it or black, then you need to take her to the vet.

Nothing yet. Her temp is consistent at 98 to 98.5.

I'm at work today, so Hershey is at my moms. She doesn't seem to be "nesting" yet and she's still eating a bit - so I'm assuming it'll still be a bit?
I don't know....her temp maybe tricking me.

My daughter mentioned that if she has them tonight - it better be after LOST (we love that show!).

I will definitely post when something starts to happen - I'm sure I'll need all the help I can get and the support. I'm so glad I found this place!

Oh, and get ready to be bombarded with photos - I'm a professional photographer
