Awareness always helps, spread the word of Puppy Mills, some people have no idea,, educate them on pet stores that sell dogs, and why they should not support them. Write letters to your paper, local tv stations. That is where it starts, and will hopefully make a difference.

Is he a broker or a breeder? Or both? Before this thread I was under the impression he was a broker.

Here is the Bonham CC web site...http://www.bonhamchamber.com/
and if I am right, he is in Fannin County and here is their web site...http://www.co.fannin.tx.us/ips/cms

maybe we could at least start by emailing our complaints to both! NOW!

I emailed the following to the CC in Bonham. When you go to the Fannin County site go to the sheriff's department and there is a form there that you can email to them re: Jeff Dane

There is a puppy mill/puppy broker doing business there! He needs to be investigated immediately and SHUT DOWN. The conditions the pups and adults live in are absolutely deplorable! His name is Jeff Dane and the web site he operates is www.yorkiepups.com.
Who needs to be contacted about this matter? I would appreciate a reply as soon as possible. There are many of us all upset over the horrible way these animals are treated!

Default Reply from Sheriff

I posted this also as a new thread but wanted to put it here also so it would not be overlooked! This is the reply I got this morning from the Sheriff's department.

We will look into the matter and if anymore information is needed from you we will contact you. We will also contact you so you are aware of the status of the matter. Is there anyone in Fannin County that we can contact regarding this complaint? We appreciate your concern and the information.

Default Reply From Texas Attorney General

I know this was probably an automated response, but, we can still follow the suggestions and write our congressmen/representatives.

Dear Ms. Keith:

Thank you for contacting the Office of the Attorney General. We
appreciate knowing your concerns.

You may also wish to share your concerns with your state representative
and senator, who are best positioned to represent your interests as
laws are developed in the future. If you need assistance in determining
who your legislators are, you can contact your county tax
assessor/collector's office or use the "Who Represents Me" feature on the Texas
Legislature Online website at www.capitol.state.tx.us.

Again thank you for writing.

Default Latest Reply from Sheriff!

Just received this!

If there is no one local you can find that's not a problem. We will do what we can on this end and involve whatever entities needed. Please understand that this make take some time and more than likely the matter will not be resolved over night.

I just sent an at length detailed email letter to Dateline NBC asking them to investigate Jeff Dane. I gave them his address, web-site address, the Fannin Co. Sheriff name, address, phone, email, a copy of the first post in this thread plus it's url. I hope they will consider it!!!!
