Pippin is on day 62 today and is getting restless,she hasnt eating for the last 2 days.When I let her out tismorning she keeps trying to urinate but nothing is coming out,she is also kind of nesting,do you think she is starting,I havn't been taking her temp as it stresses her too much,She is not pushing yet

Sounds like things are starting to happen. How wonderful for babies coming into the world!! Just keep an eye on her and keep us posted on the happenings!!!

ok she has had about 4 pushes in the last 45 mins ,they are not very strong pushes,how long should it be before a puppy is born

Are they here yet? Usually they have one within about an hour.

no puppies yet,I brought her to the vet about an hour ago and he gave her an injection to speed up the contractions and make them stronger.He thinks he might have to section her as her cervix is small ,I have to bring her back in 2 hrs if she has not had any puppies,

I wont have to

well she is licking her self a lot now and there is a kind of jelly like discharge and some contractions ,I hope she will have one soon,will have to bring her to vet in about an hour now if no pup then

How strange that your vet would give her an injection. I was under the impression (from MY vets) that there was no shot to speed up labor. A shot is given AFTER the whelp in order to clean out the uterus but not before because if the cervix is not ready, a shot could cause the uterus to rupture.

We are all hoping things are going ok...im hoping that its been a while since we have heard anything because shes too busy helping and not at the vet...please keep us posted and we all wanna see pics when you get them

thanks everyone for your best wishes for Pippin.well she had to have a section .she had one rather big boy and the vet said there was no way she would have been able to deliver him herself.He weighs about 7 ozs but he seems to be doing fine,Pippin is being such a good mam already even though she is still a bit groggy.Thank god both of them are doing fine so far.I am going to have her neutered in a few mths as I dont want her to go through this again.I will take some pics and post them tomorrow,Thanks again for your concerns
