| Coco is pregnant!!! We are so happy that Coco is preg. This will be her first litter. She is doing good so far. She is due about 9=23. I have done tons of research. I think I am ready...but pretty nervous and scared, too. Should I take her and get her belly shaved? My groomer wants to do it, but I don't want to stress her out at all. All comments on this or anything else would be much appreciated!! Thanks. : |

| Yes, you should take her and have her belly shaved...that way the pups have a cleaner and more easily accessable, um...place...to eat. Also, have the hair around her rear cut shorter. Otherwise, you're going to be looking at one hot mess. |

| congrats....i will be the first to tell you that all the reading in the world will not help you when it comes to birthing puppies. my only advise is to let the mommy do everything.

| Congratulations! I've heard with some dogs the hair falls out on the stomach, but mine never do. I prefer just trimming it close to shaving right before whelping, but you'll have to do something or the pups will have hair down their throat. |
