| Ironically I was recently made aware of one as of yesterday by another breeder who feels people should know this stuff off the top of their head BEFORE they breed. (I don't fully agree with that...I honestly couldn't tell you the exact day of gestation that their eyes develop ) Keep in mind, it was originally written in 1996 and the info used was from books from the 80's and enen 70s , so you may want to find something that is keeping up with the times. Maybe your vet could point you in the right direction to find some more recent info? http://www.k9web.com/dog-faqs/medical/whelping.html |

go to www.debbiejensen.com There is a canine pregnancy calender on the left of the home page. Click that and then it leads you thru. You put in the date of the first mating and this little calender comes up that tells you what is going on day to day. plus there is a lot of great info there on everything you neeed to know about mating, whelping and etc. | |

| birth I wish you good luck...I am sure you have planned an xray already...one pup always is a concern, I like to know ahead of time.. I knew others would post the sites you asked about...Bama..I am still trying to figure out how I will change for the better as a breeder to know cell by cell how pups develop..not against knowledge..but some breeders are all "book learnin"..and no hands on common sense..LOL |
