| shipping in a puppy I never purchased a puppy from a breeder, I am looking to do so in Sept. I live in Southern NJ and a lot of breeders are out of state. I would really appreciate if someone could recommend a good local breeder or let me know of one out of state. Is it safe to ship such a small puppy? |

| Our BeeGee was shipped all the way from Germany to us and did great! I never would have known he had been in that crate for that long and he was so very happy to see us.

| I've had several yorkies shipped and I did notice that the older they were the better they looked and acted when we got them. My little male was over 4 months when we got him. We live in California and he came from Missouri. The flight here didn't faze him. The others were ok but just acted alittle more scared. |

| the airlines won't fly them except within a certain tem. range and I forget just what it is right now. I think the top line is 85 or it may be 80. We have shipped many beagle puppies all over the US and when the shipper calls the airline, they check the weather for the places they are going. When the puppy goes to the vet to get it's health certificate to fly, he will write the acclimated temp. range on it. So you have no worries there. |

| Vicki. there should be no need for you to ship a pup in to NJ. Especially since you are starting your search in advance. Give me a holler at sylvanyorkies@yahoo.com and I'll try to get you set with a nice pup in September. Also would love to have an excuse to head to Cape May for a weekend 'round then if you'd like delivery service. .

Vickie youre in good hands with Sylvan she has wonderful pups! As far as shipping Ive never had one problem...during the summer I must check the weather path before I leave for the airport...the temp can not be higher than 85 degrees on any leg of the flight...this is for the pups safety.
