| Heellpp!!!!--- Pleease! A while back someone posted about making a pen/welping box set-up for puppies out of lattice. I spent most of the day yesterday, and part of today trying to find it. I searched under whelping box, lattice, and I even went to some of the breeders profiles and searched a lot of the threads. To no avail. Can't find anything. I did find a lot of interesting information, though!! But there are so many posts it is just impossible to read them all, and I can't remember who it was that posted it, or even how long ago it was. If whoever posted this reads my plea, would you either let me know where to find the post, or pm me with pictures, and/or description? I'd really appreciate any help. It looked like such a good set up, and I just can't find it anywhere! Thanks! |

| Artie I wouldnt recommend building a box with lattace. It needs to be a sterile environment easy washing and wipe down. Wood absorbs and also gives the pups and mom wood to chew on that would be unsafe. IMHO

| Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!! Villette...yes I saw that post. And the picture of minniemn laying on the floor in the pen reminds me of Sue. Looks like waiting time in our house. And yes, we will be expecting puppies in June. puppylove...yep, puppies are coming!! (see answer above) Kimberly...we were thinking of plastic lattice that can be washed and sterilized. Not the regular wood. And we really weren't looking for any thing for whelping, I just thought that might be where I saw it. Cindy...that is a really neat picture, and it looks like Mama could get out, but babies would have to stay in. That is exactly what we are looking for, but now we need building plans. My son-in-law is a Superintendent for a construction company. He can build stuff, but doesn't have any time to do it. So Sue usually takes on those jobs. And she needs either a plan or a good picture she can copy!!! |
