| Estimate the due date I have 2 females and 1 male. On March 24 I found him with his "thing" out in a big way if you know what I mean. I then seperated him and my females. I had never saw any signs of heat in them before seeing him like this. I did check both of them at this time and they were swollen. I kept them seperate for a week. At this point he was no longer interested in them. I think they both my be having puppies. I had been preparing to breed them but planned to wait another cycle or two. I have been reading everything her for months. I have purchased books suggested here. My question now is how would I calculate the due date. Do I use the date I found him like this or move back a few days? I do intent to have my vet x-ray them at 50 days. I have gone to Debbie Jensens website and done the Pregnancy Calendar. I know soon I should start adding 1/2 a tums to their diet. I don't want to do that to soon though. Please help. By the way this is the 1st time and of my dogs mated. Do you think it possible since they are all inexperienced, and what are the odds that both my females came into heat at the exact same time. I hope it is my head but the are developing and getting little bellies now. Thanks Tauni |

| If I were you , I would use the entire "week" that you saw his ummm "you know" out. I would count 63 days from the middle of that paticular week. Keep in mind this is only an estimate since you did not see them do the deed. You will need to be totally prepared for pups a week in advance of your estimation. I'm not much help if I don't have an actual date of mating, but you'll be fine. I would personally have an ultrasound as they progress to really see the size and development of the babies. |
