| And we have a piglet... Ok, I am curious to hear what my fellow yt breeders with more experiance have to say. As you know yesterday Bridget gave birth to 4 spectatcular puppies. All seems to be fine and everyone is gaining weight, however in the last 12 hours I have one female, the largest to begin with that is tripling the other puppies weight gain. Every one else gained .10 of an ounce, piglet here has gained .30. Should I be concerned, or try to take her away for a bit so the others have more access, I have tried to call my mentor, but she is out for the moment. Thanks

| In my opinion 4 babies is not a huge load on mom; and they're should be plenty of ninny to go around (Depending on her size and milk production.) How much did the babies weigh at birth and what do they weigh now to be exact? Then I can tell you more of what I think... don't ya love my word "ninny"? LOL |

| Ok, I dont have their exact weight from birth, If i remember off the top of my head they were around Birth approx a-4 b. 5 c- 3 1/3 d- 4 1/4 I might be off a bit on those. Last night when I weighed them they weighed in at a- 4.05 b-5.15 c-3.90 d- 4.35 this morning they were a- 4.14 b- 5.55 c- 4.0 d- 4.45 should I be worried? they seem to all be strong and healthy, but I just dont want to miss a thing. Thanks

| Sounds like what you already know -- you've got a little piglet in the bunch. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as the others seem to be continually gaining also. I would make sure to keep an eye on them just in case and if you have to you could remove the larger one every now for short periods of time to make sure that the others get their share. Best of luck to you.
