I have never had that much white as with this one female she throws some white on her females paws. I know it makes no sense but this only happens with her females and it was passed down to her from her mom.....

Princess, Well it sure makes sense. Its genetics. If I understood genetics more I might be able to understand better. The female who produced this lil precious boy also produces littler females but the boys are always bigger? Born bigger and as adults grow bigger too?

| Salem is very cute. I don't know if this is true, but I've heard that puppies who have some white on them usually grow up to have luxuriously silky coat Stewie's back paws have some white and his chest has a little white diamond

This female I was refering to has a great coat and so did her mom, both her girls from the last litter have great coats now but started off scraggly looking. The boys never have gotten the white on them but the girls do. I never did get that.. And the girls have been tiny little ones. Go figure....

white That much white is perfectly acceptable...I can not see the back, but it looks black. The feet hair will grow off and the chest will blend into gold...he will look like he never had any white...

Thank you! I have really enjoyed your input. As YorkieRose ( a true expert) has said "The puppies coats have grown into gold" You really can never notice it ( the white I mentioned), unless you truly know of its appearance there earlier...with birth alot of times it doesnt show later. At Maturity white makes the gold very rich looking, because the light makes the gold at the points even more rich looking. Just my opinion but I have thought about it.

I have pics of some of my own puppies and another from a friend and I have permission to share her pics. I will e-mail it if someone wants to post it. Gawsh, I am so puter-stoopid! The white has been cussed and discussed so much and the best we come up with it, that we have our own opinions as to the origin. Maybe those Paisley Terriers or Maltese introduced into the lines when the Yorkie breed was being developed. Who knows??
