| Has anyone ever bought a Yorkie from this Breeder http://countryhomeyorkies.com I wanted to get a Yorkie from Denise sooooooooooo bad. Was gonna take that rider just get it. It was just something about her website that drew me in...until she told me her Yorkies START AT $1995. I was crushed. Told her if I couldn't find another breeder i'd most likely be back (maybe next year because her prices will break me). Somebody wanna give me some money?? |

| I'm not as offended by her site as maybe yorkierini is! I think it's ok and some of the dogs are kinda cute. BUT, a lot of them seem to have floppy ears and to be honest if you are paying 2 grand for a yorkie, you do not want floppy ears. I wouldn't get my heart set on these pups because there are others out there that will be within your price range and have the characteristics that you will be looking for. Good luck in your search! |

| One good thing is that it was breed specific, so there wasn't a million other breeds. Another good thing was that price wasn't mentioned, and it says that you have to make an appointment. That tells me that she cares about her pups and wants to make sure they go to a good home (though I could be wrong). Otherwise she would have just had a price and VISA/MASTERCARD logo on her site like everyone else. Her pups are precious. Of course you will get a better feel for her as a breeder, once you make an appointment and speak with her. Maybe you can discuss a payment plan with her.

| Although I don't like the term "holiday puppies", I'm not offended by the site at all. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I actually liked her puppies & her site. What I really liked was she said you could come in and spend time in her home - (but her puppy descriptions on the ABOUT US did sound like she was describing a home decorating project a little) She did say she was a decorator by trade so I guess that's why. starting at 2 grand is something that you should put alot of thought into....but I can see why you'd want one. |

| But why would floppy ears even matter, if you're not planning to show or breed?? I think floppy ears are super cute

| I think for that price I would want the ears up.

| I agree Jess, it's a personal preference. If I pay $2000 for a puppy that I'm not showing or breeding, I'm paying that because I fell in love with the puppy, not because of it's ears, or coat or things that comes with the standard of the breed.
