| Reputable breeder in or around Texas? I've exhausted Google looking for a reputable breeder. Most appear to be backyard breeders or only want to sell to a show home. Thanks! |

| Here's texas: Yorkshire Terrier Puppies For Sale In Texas - AKC Puppy Finder What other states are you willing to drive to for a pup? I'm a novice at this but one thing I've figured out is, the chances are better for a healthy dog if you stick with the breeders that are AKC compliant and that means ya gotta check out the list at AKC..... Does that mean it's the only place to go for a healthy dog? Of course not! Does that mean all of those breeders are good? Not necessarily. I'm talking about "increasing" the odds. If a breeder isn't willing to comply to AKC standards and get themselves on the list, ask yourself "why are they NOT on AKC's list?" |

| I am also in search of a small pet quality female. We had two and they were best friends. We recently lost one and we are all heart brokened. Our remaining little girl (8 yrs. old) needs a companion. We have had Yorkies for 20+ years and I prefer to buy from reputable show breeders. I always start with the list of breeders on the YTCA site. It looks like we are going to have to get a puppy, so we may have three for the first time since we really like them to be close to the same age. |

| Yorkiemom1 on YT is a reputable breeder from I 'think' the Houston area, maybe Dallas/Fort Worth. I can't remember but she posts her on a regular basis. She has stated she has a list of people waiting for her babies, many repeat owners wanting another Yorkie. I do believe their is another one or two in Texas, but I can't remember their names. Search on here under YT Breeders. Best of Luck.
