| Where do you keep her when it's close to time for delivery. I bought a big cage about 3 months ago. I am thinking of keeping Lacijo in it when it is close to her due date. She is used to free roam of the house and sleeps in my bedroom. Most of her time is spent in my bedroom. I am sure she will be upset and will probably set the cage up and put her in it off and on for a night between now and then. Where do you keep your babies before their babies come? Sylvia |

| Thank you, Villette. I found that one after I posted this one. I still hope to hear from some who might not have posted on that thread. Sylvia |

| My Andi is my first female and so she has always slept in my bed. I tried and tried to get her to feel comfortable in a bed in the puppy cage before she delivered....it just did NOT happen. Every night she would whine and cry and I did not want to stress her while she was pregnant....so I finally gave up and just figured I would deal with it when the time came. (I was sure she was going to whelp in my bed!). However, she gave birth in a bed set up on a table with myself and a friend in attendance. She went in with her puppies to the puppy cage that night, and never wanted out again until they were weaned. Maybe I was just lucky BUT who knows.......

I plan on putting her in the cage maybe once a week until she seems to get the idea. I don't want her stressed because I try to put her in an unfamiliar place after the babies are born. I don't much care where she has the babies, most everything will wash. I have a dog bed under the chair in my room. I try to set up an area for welping in my closet, it's small, dark and warm.
