| Ok, all you breeders............ Lacijo came in heat and Mr. Big usually got her once a day. The first time was on the 4th and the last time they bred was the 11th. He just got her again after 2 days, do you think this one will produce anything? What I'm worried about is if she took on the 4th, when it's time for that/those puppies to be born, if she took from today the 14th, there will be 10 days difference in their maturity. I think the 4th and the 5th were too early, which makes me wonder how he could have gotten her, and I think today was too late and I am amazed that he got her after 2 days of not getting her. | Ok are we talking 4th day after bleeding started ? I think 9, 11 and 13 are good days, But who really knows. Most females won't except a male if she isn't fertile.. Good Luck

No, I don't think I wrote it down but the first breeding was the day after she stopped bleeding. Sylvia

A stud client called me once and said her big girl was ready to breed. She was not an easy bitch to breed and I was dreading it. She came over, we fought tooth and nail and got a tie. 2 days later back over here and another tie-this one a bit easier. Two weeks later she went into a full heat, we re-bred her and she had the litter of 4 on the 2nd day of the possible dates from the second series.

I wasn't in a place mentally to pay the kind of attention I should have when I was younger and breeding. How usual is it for a female to breed for 10 days? Sylvia

Each one is so different. I have one that will tie once, get up with morning sickness the next morning and whip the tar out of the stud. I have others that seem to have way too much fun ad will breed on and on and on..You will be able to figure out her pattern after you are more experienced..

I do wish you the best, but unless I actually witness a tie, i cannot say what could possilby happen. count 63 days from their first tie as an estimated due date. Good luck!

Ooooh yes!!! I'm not going to discount that first breeding. Wouldn't that be just the way it would go? Count from the 3rd day and have those babies come even earlier than they usually do! I'm thinking she probably wasn't fertile until the 4th or 5th day but I sure won't count on that! Sylvia

Unlike hoomans, the wives (dams) usually are bigger than their Yorkie husbands, and they have no mercy. You know how we females can get if we put our minds to it! LOL
