Senior Yorkie Talker | Eye pointing out I just noticed one of my pups has 1 eye that seems to be pointing slightly outward. It wasn't like that before, anyone know whether this is something normal (as in, it sometimes happens and will correct itself) or is it a more serious matter?

| Thank you for posting the question, but... Sorry, I'm an experienced breeder and have never encountered this. Please check with your veterinarian and let us know what he/she says as this surely will come up again and help someone--

Senior Yorkie Talker | Got it checked out. The vet says is an optical illusion. The eye is centered as it should, but the third eyelid, which apparently isn't tucked away just yet, has a lighter pigmentation on him than his sister's and it gives the illusion of whiteness when the light hits it a certain way. When he showed it to me in the office, it seemed very obvious that that's what it was. My concern was then about the third eyelid being over the eye still. Is this common? The vet thinks everything is fine, but I'm still concerned.

| Thank you for posting this-- The explanation sounds perfectly reasonable. We breeders have many things to worry about that non-breeders probably don't think of at all. Sincere best wishes to all!
