| Whats the right day to breed I have just retired 2 of my girls and breeding them was easy 13 14th day like clock work. They bleed for 10 days ..cream then clear ready to breed. I have a new girl and she is 2 only bleeds 5-6 days .. its the 7 - 8th day and male dog is going crazy she is flagging but can not get them together is it just too soon do they need the 12-13 days? Any one else that has a dog with a short bleed time? |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Different strokes for different folks, same with dogs I suppose, with their heat cycles. If she is a maiden (first time breeding) that could be one reason why you might have a little trouble with the tie, but I think it's a safer bet that it is just a bit too soon. If you've got the stud there with you just keep trying ........when the time is right, and maybe with a little help from you, they will likely get a tie. Good luck!

| Thanks with help from me I did get them tied..so what I did learn you just need to watch the color and go by that so some bleed 10 days and some like my new one only 5 days..and the next 2-3 days is the time to breed.. |
