| My puppy is gold. Is it a Yorkshire? It was from my father's friend. The parents are Yorkshire. Is it a Yorkshire? |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Looks all Yorkie, but I have never personally seen that color. They are called Golden Yorkies. I believe it is a defect in the color genes, something that they are missing. That is why they lack the traditional black/tan or teal blue colors.

| Yes she is. On my search when I learned that I really wanted a yourkie it was because I seen the cutest 3lbs golden yorkie and fell in love. I ended up giving up after about 2 years. 1 because they are very hard to come by and 2 because the more I searched I realized I had to have a yorkie no matter what color it was. I love love love your babies coloring!

I love how you have his Top Knot done. I am going to have to study it and see if I can do the same thing to my Allie's To Knot.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I have a Golden Yorkie, too, my Cali. Depending on where you read, it's either a defective color gene or the result of some mixed breeding somewhere down the line. They are unusual and definitely garner compliments where ever you go. No matter the cause, they are ever bit as awesome as the traditional colored babies.

| Golden If he was born this color, then indeed he is a true yorkie. I have seen some that get the color golden and loose the dark saddle after they age. A true golden is born this color. He is certainly beautiful. Julia
