| Might my dog be going into labor soon? We could see her puppies moving around a lot yesterday, and there was some clear discharge.Today theres no movement, we took her temperature and it was 99.0 and she keeps going in to her whelping box and she was licking down there too.Her stomach is also fairly hard. Her mucus plug came out almost a week ago. |

| I don't see any breeders online yet, I'd call my vet and ask him/her.

Do you have a mentor? If not please call your VET so that they are on standby just in case you need an emergency csection for your pup. The breeders here will need some info (when they come on). How old is your momma? Has she had an xray? What did the xray show? How much did she weigh before pregnancy? How much did the sire weigh? Is this her first litter? Does she have any issues? How has her pregnancy been? How is she acting now? What have you done to prepare? What supplies do you have on hand?

| I did a bit of research... could be anywhere from 6 hours or more to 5 or 6 days after the loss of the mucous plug before labor begins... will look some more.... called your vet yet?

| Ok, no breeders yet. I've learned a little here but I'm no breeder. If you see a blood show, a blackish green discharge or her water breaks, then a puppy should be born within an hour or so. If not, then you want to have your dog seen by your vet asap. Can you update?

| Are you seeing any contractions? Early in labor the contractions will be small. Also once the labor starts you don't feel as much movement on the puppies when the when the stomach is hard. How old is your girl and how big is she? Is this her first litter?

| The OP has not been on since 8:18 this morning. Hopefully they are busy delivering pups or are at the vets. I pray everything goes well.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I wish you luck, although a second litter at 18 months old? Sigh.
