| paypal? I saw on another post someone was commenting on a breeder using Pay Pal as a way to pay for the puppies she was selling. Someone was saying " did you see that she takes pay pal?" Ok so I like pay pal. It always gives me piece of mind that if I buy something and don't receive it they will credit my account. So what's wrong with it. Just need to know because I'm confused as to why it's a bad thing. What if it was just a regular credit card..still bad? | I have no issue with breeders taking deposits and payment with paypay but what I have an issue with is breeders that have the paypal button on their website so people can just pay a deposit on a pup without even being approved first. Some breeders will sell to anyone with no questions asked.

| The person had a paypal button next to the puppies available so the the person could just buy the puppy the breeder was not interested in asking the person any questions or anything. A good breeder does not just sell to anyone they want to know who the buyer is and such.

I think I'd better do a question page to screen buyers. I've always talked to people on the phone and got to know bit about them. | |

| There is nothing wrong with what method a buyer uses to pay, it's the lack of vetting and just automatically buying a pup via Paypal that is horrendous. Without proper vetting, the dog could be going to a terrible home. I can't imagine anyone just turning out their puppies they have created on purpose or through what is so often an irresponsible lack of oversight and bring into this world over to just anyone with Paypal or other funds without a good deal of questioning and whatever checking on the answers they can do to verify that the proposed buyer would provide a safe, loving, responsible and forever home for one of their pups!

| I've always talked to potential buyers over the phone and then in person. Pay pal would be used after the purchaser was found to be a good prospect. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Before I was familiar with PayPal and knew that they had a request money using just an email address I had a PayPal button on my site. This was for the convenience of placing a deposit on a pup by those people who lived out of town and who wanted to make regular payment. I put a button on my site with strict instruction that is was only to be used for those people who were preapproved and prescreened personal by me. Well wouldn't ya know it, out of the blue I had someone send me a deposit on a pup. I promptly refunded her money and sent her an email with links to my site and explained the process I go through in order to find suitable families. Turns out she was a local women, very pleasant, kind, collage professor and pillar in our community who I ended up placing one of our pups with after all. Its just that I have strict way of doing things in order to find great forever homes for my pups and she needed to follow those. She was very understanding. I no long intent on using the button.
