| Or it could be a million other things. My dog daisy had E. coli in her kidney from a UTI. Just saying.

| I think in young puppies and geriatric dogs it is more dangerous.

| If e coli was present in the dam's milk, wouldn't she have also been affected by it?

| Until the proof is there, I am not going to jump on this bandwagon especially considering the sources. I don't see how these two are related anyway...the first one said it was nutritionally incorrect food..now this new one says she had pups with Ecoli..how long ago??? No proof..nothing. Only the cause of death of her puppies...and she has no sample of the food. Not worthy of a lot of discussion imho. These people need to get with their attorneys and make their claims and stop trying the company in the press. Personally, if I did not have proof, I would not be going to the press with such allegations.

| A quote from the following link: Dog E. Coli Infection - E. Coli Infection in Dogs | petMD Causes Colibacillosis is ultimately due to an E. coli infection. However, risk factors for this type of infection include poor health and nutritional status of the pregnant bitch, lack of colostrum (first milk) to the puppy, unclean birthing environment, difficult or prolonged birth, crowded facilities, concurrent infection/disease, inflammation of the mammary glands in the nursing bitch, and placement of intravenous catheter.

| I JUST GOT A PHONE CALL FROM A VET AT RC.... she has assured me that they immediately upon hearing from the first breeder, they immediately pulled his food and have investigated thoroughly his breeding facility, and the food he had on hand, that he is feeding his females, that he claims is nurtitionally insufficient, is to date, testing perfectly within the nutritional specific guidlines....there has been no test that shows any components left out or missing in the formulas he was feeding. She also assured me his dog food had no bacterial contamination. As far as the other breeder, she has not filed a complaint or a claim with RC as of yet and they can not pull samples for testing until a claim is filed. She also assured me they have always routinely pulled random bags of food from all formulas and tested them for contamination as well as well as truth in labeling, ie making certain what it says on the bag re nutritional content, is what it professes to be and that all food RC produces does meet strict QM standards and inspections. I asked her if I was safe continuing feeding my current female the HT 42d formula, and she assured me it was perfectly safe and would perform as promised. |

| Thanks for the update, Judy. Hope there are no more claims or stories.

| People will say anything to get their 15 minutes of fame in the media and a possible lawsuit.
