Hi Everyone, first thanks for any advice you can give me. I am searching for a yorkie and have received the following emails...I'd like to know what you think, fishy or not.

You might be wondering why i am giving thepuppies for adoption . Firstly i will like you to know a little about me,I aman Electrical Engineer and not a breeder.The person who was breeding thesepuppies was my wife but i lost her a couple of months ago in a surgeryoperation.I had no intention in selling these puppies .But the, puppies are solonely at home since i got up very early in the morning go to work and onlycome back home in the evening and some times late at night.So i was advised byone of my friends to offer the puppies for home adoption. I had difficulty todecide to do so.The litter was made up of six puppies but i have succeeded ingiven away four of the so there are just two left now a male and female.theywill go only to loving and approved homes.Well re homing any of these puppiesmeans you are taking him or her for an everlasting home.before i let you havethe any of the puppies , i will like you to answer me some of the questionsbelow

Yup, this is a major scam. You see it all the time on Ebay Classifieds and Craigslist. Please don't fall for this. You will lose money and they do not have dogs to send you.

Definitely a scam. I saw your other post about wanting a Yorkie. I know others here can point you in the direction of a good and reputable breeder in the areas you are looking. Good luck!

Thanks everyone, I'm glad I didn't get scammed. After thinking about it I googled the email address and tons of posts came up all offering different dogs and stories. I should have done that first so I didn't waste your time but hindsight is 20-20. It's good to know some one is on and available. I'll do what I can to pass the word too!

Any time you get something like this,first, just look at the grammar and typos!!! THAT alone will send up sooooooo many red flags you will see nothing BUT red!!!! When they go on and on and on and on and on and on about how much they love these babies and want them to go to a good home....RED FLAG!!! Breeders that absolutely adore their babies, will not carry on constantly that way...they are very cautious and concerned and not so determined to convince YOU that they love their babies.....they dont have to do that! You can just FEEL the nasty scam taking place in these emails...just be receptive to what your gut tells you and you will spot this many miles away!! You did good, you listened to your gut and backed off from this crook! If you EVER have any question about a scam email, just bring it here....there are people on here that have seen every lying scam in the book...seldom do they get rooked!!!

The biggest "FISHY" DETAILS ARE THE PRICE, the funny questions, the whole talk ... anonymous???? everything is done through e-mail...
And the culprit: send the money to a carrier????

I can always tell my the text that they type. I usually play around with them, and let them know how interested I am, and do everything they ask besides sending money, then give them excuses like they do me.

I nearly fell for one of these...the red flags started when I asked to meet them....then they told me they were overseas, Cameroon Island. Looked that up....of course no such island...Cameroon is in Africa...the list goes on...anyway MAJOR scam...I've since seen this many times...follow your gut, and if you have any doubt as another poster has stated bring it here.n Good luck in your search.

My thanks to you all for your words of advice. I'm glad that I didn't fall for it and asked for advice. I felt foolish after I had posted especially after re-reading I should have known. Thanks to those of you who are as naive as I am it's nice to know I'm not the only one.
