Question Diarrhea with pregnancy??

I want to apologize in advance for the graphic contents of this thread. Prepare yourself if you are sensitive about this sort of thing. Yesterday, I noticed (by the lovely trail of "track" marks on my carpet and the yucky mess by her rear end), that Maddie's tummy seems to be slightly upset. I didn't think much of it, but then this morning, it happened again. Only this time it was more like a mucus/jelly sort of stool (if you would even still call it stool). This happened before when she was a puppy and the vet gave me some meds for her stomache that cleared it right up. Would this have anything to do with her being pregnant? Should I be really worried about it because she is pregnant? Besides being tired and sleeping more (b/c of her prego-ness), she seems to be acting normal. Has anyone heard of this?

Gracie never has it before she whelps but she did it after she whelped this time. I know, my girl is backwards and it out to prove everyone wrong! Sounds like your girl's body is cleaning itself out in preparation for her whelping. Keep a close eye on her and keep emergency numbers readily available.

Maddie is at 38 days now. I think I will take her to the vet today anyway. I got up with her to do her "business" last night and noticed a little blood this time. Is it possible that this could be normal? I know she gets a little blood when her rear end is irritated. She's really sensitive like that. It doesn't seem to be an emergency, but maybe I will take her this afternoon anyway.
