| Puppy from Hungary Any information is welcome! I bought my first puppy over 10 years ago with FIC papers and have since kept 2 of her puppies and acquired a male last year. I just bought a 2 year old bitch with Hungarian FIC papers. My question is, there is a number tattooed in her ear and it doesn't match the registration number on her papers (from what I could translate through the internet). Could the number in her ear be something else, or is the dog I bought an imposter?? I realize that having a tattoo in her ear usually marks a pedigree dog, but still??... any comments? Have I been cheated?

| So is it possible that the number in her ear has no connection with her registration number on her papers?? They are from FIC (in Hungary) and seem to be in order...

| I feel that it has no connection except for identifing in case of loss or stolen keep a record of the number just in case you ever need it

| It's ID only, not registration. Don't worry, you have not been cheated.

| Thanx for the encouragement! Wow! Thank you all so much for the quick encouragement! Truthfully, she is a beautiful little dog, 2 years old and I am very pleased with her! here in Israel I have encountered alot of dogs with Hungarian papers and they have all been really beautiful, but...let the buyer beware!! She certainly is a welcome addition to my yorkie family... thanks again, Lisa
