| Pregnancy Yesterday my 3 year old girl Ava got joined with the little boy down the street, they were only stuck for about 3-5 minutes. She is 8-9 Lbs and he is 4-5lbs. If she is pregnant I want to know everything there is to know, I do know a few things but am so scared that something might happent to her. Frankly there is so much negative stuff about yorkies having pups that Im very nervous for her. I am willing to do what ever to keep her and her puppies safe if she is. Any advise is greatly appretiated Thanks |

1) Take her to the vet now. discuss your options with your vet, that should include her "fitness" to whelp a litter, YOUR fitness to care for your girl, and future puppies, your ability to care financially for these puppies, and so much more. 2) as Yorkie Rose said there is much info on this breeders forum to inform you and to direct you to internet sources of learning. Look up the threads here. Good luck with your decisions.

| Was the male pup a yorkie, you didn't say. Options can be very limited if this is a larger breed than your girl.

| Sorry, should have read closer. However, you have 9 weeks to read, study, find a mentor, gather equipment and make sure your vet is well versed in whelping emergencies and available to you 7x24 when the time comes near. Prepare, prepare and prepare......make sure you have a nest egg put aside.....or at the very least a credit card with a good unused balance. You may need it.
