| Are you kidding me I received an email from a woman saying she wanted to adopt one of my little girls, so I called her for the interview.....I'm still shaking my head. First she begins to tell me about all the experience she has with dogs because she used to work at Petsmart, then goes on to tell me how she has a bad back and other medical issues so wants a little dog to spoil. Not to many concerns yet...then she tells me she used to raise dogs and a story about how she let one of her dogs out to use the bathroom and the dog came in with blood all over (she'd delivered outside and lost all the puppies). Bells are starting to tingle.... Then she tells me she wasn't expecting to pay so much for a dog because all her friends gave her dogs ,some pure-bred she pointed out. I didn't point out that we were not friends, but was wondering where all these "free" dogs she was given are at now She then puts me on hold so she can take a call from her friend in another state (really). When she comes back on she tells me her friend found a Yorkie in our local petstore for $100, I didn't mention I was in there the previous day and knew they did not, or that it was 9 pm on a Sunday. I did, however caution her to check the store out because there was several complaints about them listed in the local topix section of the paper. She assured me she would know a sick dog because she worked at Petsmart. Did she really think I was going to let her have a puppy at any price, let alone free after everything she said? |

| I hope not, if she does they will be "unavailable"! The petstore she claimed had the $100 Yorkie does carry dogs and was one that openly told me that their Yorkie stud had a malformed jaw, but they use him anyway! They had a Chorkie puppy they were asking $700 for, but no $100 Yorkie. |

| Wow. I know on my phone interview with my breeder, I was worried about impressing her with my "mommy" skills. This one just sounds like a dingbat! |

| Just be thankful that she made it very easy for you to make a decision. If she had known all the right things to say, despite being a poor choice, it might have taken you quite a while and a lot of effort to uncover the truth (if you were able to do so at all). But, LOL, how clueless does someone have to be to think that what she was telling you sounded good!!

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | I agree, you are lucky that she is a bit of a nut.. but a truthful nut at that! Imagine if she had been a bit smarter and lied about her experience with dogs, you would have been none the wiser! She does sounds crazy though.

| When I've had people tell me how they can get a Yorkie for much less (certainly after I've pretty much eliminated them as a potential buyer) I tell them "wow, that's a good deal, you better go get it"

| All I can say is OMG!! How DUMB can one person be??? There should be a pet registery that we can log these stupid people so their names can be listed to never be allowed to adopt, buy or given an animal....The dog went to pee pee and delivered puppies that were all dead.... goodness how long did she think it would take one to go....all day!!!!! So sorry she even phoned you...you must still be stunned by that call... |
