I have a friend who is interested in buying a yorkie under 4pounds, does anyone out there know anything about this breeder? www.yorkiebabies.com

The puppies are really cute, but I have a problem with calling them purse puppies and then sell them for $5,000 because they're so much smaller.

A red flag for me is too many breeds and also the prices they seem way to high.

well, the prices are REALLY high. And there are 3 or 4 different breeds. Another red flag are the words, teacup, purse puppy etc.

I will never pay $5,000 for a pup . Most of those breeders are looking for $$$$$ only .

My breeder currently has a litter she is selling. hers usually run about three-four pounds grown. She has a larger female bred right now but those puppies won't be born until December. As far as I know, she doesn't have a website. She puts them in the paper and they are gone right away. her first ad was Sunday so she may have sold them all now. She is a very knowledgable breeder and knows what she is doing and has a great set up. If, you like, I can give you her name and number PM me please.

i forgot to say, hers are AKC and go for 700-950.

I know of a $1500 female limited AKC 11 months 2.5lbs

I don't like the phrase "hurry she will go quickly".

visa and mastercard contributes alot to my thoughts also.

i must say that the pups are beautiful, but prices are outrageous.

tell your friend to shop around a little more

Her site does not impress me and her prices are a tad high for what she is selling. Just my opinion.

Reminds me of one of the horror stories from when we were looking for Trixie. The "breeder," if that's what you wanted to call them, met us in the yard with the two available pups and went accross the street to a CHICKEN HOUSE with "only about 50 dogs," as they put it to get the parents that were "not used to people." I swear, the "parents" (a Yorkie and a Silky?) weighed in at at least 20lbs each. Trying to not run screaming from the house, we told them we were looking for something a little smaller, like in the 'standard' range... The man's words were, 'boy I wish we could get a pup that would only be about 2 pounds as an adult...I guess I could get about 3 or 4 thousand for a pup like that...' The words still haunt me to this day! I started to say, "yeah, with that much money you could afford to get a full set of teeth..."
