| Cami's First Litter This is my females 1st. litter. She's 5 weeks along but she's not showing yet. Is this normal? Her teats have changed to dark brown on the ends. So this must be one of the signs of pregnancy.

| Since no one's responded by now, surprisingly no one must know. Maybe you could talk to your vet or google it. good luck |

When she joined, she shared info about her pup, Tedi. A few months later, she put him up for sale because she had "too many dogs." Posted him up for sale in multiple threads where people were looking for a dog. Then went on to mention that her hubby had recently bought her a poodle. A few months later she post up looking for a 'male teacup to use for breeding purposes' and admitted that she'd gotten rid of Tedi because he'd gotten bigger than she wanted him to and that she kept getting dogs and they kept getting bigger than she wanted them. To no surprise, she got A LOT of heat from members here because of it. Since then, she has only been back to YT to post when she has litters for sale. She got some criticism then to for advertising them as being from AKC Champion bloodlines. I think that about sums it up. Like previously mentioned, it was a long time ago, but really rubbed some people the wrong way. Last edited by BamaFan121s; 09-17-2010 at 05:06 AM. | |

I'm very concerned that someone who has been breeding for years do not know basic signs of pregnancy in a dog. Just concerning to me

| The darkened nipples is definitely a sign. Also at 5 weeks with the first litter she probably wouldnt show much in the belly. AFter the 6th week you should start to see a difference in her belly size.

Wait a minute? From the OP's original question, she made it sound as though this was not only her pup's first litter, but hers too. So if she's bred before, shouldn't she be aware of the signs of pregnancy?

I mean if you have been breeding you should know this. If it's just this females first litter, maybe this post was started to advertise she's going to have a litter coming.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | What has your repro vet said? Surely as an experienced breeder, you have a repro vet, and have established a good rapport with.
