| Puppy/Adult Costs I have been doing some research and am new to the yorkie breed as far as pricing. I would really like a parti adult, but those seem few and far between but what I am noticing is that huge amount of breeders that give full breeding rights....is this common? I am shocked that I could just go get a female and a male for for $8000 have breeding pair that I can turn around and sell the puppies for $3000 a piece. The few females I have came across- in my limited google search- have been like $5000 for full breeding rights- um no thanks. I know the typical pricing for a German shepherd and most breeders won't give breeding rights and you can get some pretty good pups (show or working parents) for less than $3000. So, my question is in all curiosity is why do so many breeders give full breeding rights and why are so many of the puppies that can't be registered AKC or those that are that have no background in titles for parents so expensive, because people will pay it? I know I'm probably look at the wrong places- google searches- so if anyone has any good suggestions for parti breeders (again I really want a female adult and spayed is fine) I would LOVE it. |

ON this forum I believe there are some parti breeders. Sorry I don't know their call names, but I do know there are. There also maybe an association out there for parti breeders. I'm sure that soon someone who knows more than I will post for you with info.

| I am not sure about the pricing but it was high a year or so ago. I do know that you can get a female pup as a pet only for way cheaper than that. I know that some breeders do charge alot and will sell pups with full registration regardless but that does not make it right and you should run far away from those breeders. I have a litter of pups right now that has one parti male in that litter and he will go as a pet only. He is beautiful but he has a "blue born" sister. His dad will be neutered as this is the 2nd he has produced. But 3 pups are pet only in my book. He is being sold for the same price as a standard pup that is pet quality. So keep looking and find a reputable parti breeder in your area. I know on here that Tammy JM and Jeanie K seem pretty good but do not know them personally. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I know of a very reputable parti breeder thats sells her babies as pet only at very reasonable pet prices. I will get her permission to release her info but she is also a member here. Are you looking for a puppy? or adult? |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | OK, she doesn't have an adult or an older pup at this time, but she is expecting a litter in about 3 weeks. Her user name here on YT is kpstoybox. She knows alot about the Parti as well and can give you alot of info. I have learned alot reading her posts. When I actually bought my first Biewer, she educated me so well on the differences of the parti and Biewer and I learned alot from her. Last edited by Breny; 07-03-2010 at 08:40 PM. |

then they decided to advertise just "the breeding rights" or the papers for 300.00 ... Now , tell me....How where these people even allowed to own 2 dogs with "full breeding rights"? They had no idea what it meant .... I tried to explain, but as you can imagine, they would not listen... just like it happens here on YT ... and before i was called names i just hanged up. I am not sure they ever found a buyer or not, the ad disappeared anyways... XOXO

| I'm the breeder that she is talking about. My Livi has only had two litters and I only sell with limited registration (NO breeding rights). All 4 of these puppies have gone (or are going to) other Yorkietalk members. Keep searching for the right breeder....not all will charge you so much or be so willing to sell with full registration. |

I guess I'm not used to looking for dogs or something, but I've found a few older females, but when contacted, they again mention the full breeding for thousands of dollars... What about just being a good pet? Don't you want that for your dog? I guess I learn something every day | |
