Senior Yorkie Talker | Experienced Breeders Research Suggestions I was just wondering if you all could give me some good book references to help me research the Yorkie breed. There is just sooo many out there it is hard to choose from. If anyone here has a certain book, web site, magazine, etc. that has helped them in their research to become a great breeder, could you please let me know? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, YorkieProud IF EVERYONE HAD THE HEART OF A YORKIE, THE WORLD WOULD BE FILLED WITH LOVE!! |

| A couple of must have books are The Complete Yorkshire Terrier by Joan Gordon and also The Joy of Breeding Your Own Show Dog by Ann Seranne. Here's a good link for the Yorkshire's history. History of the Yorkshire Terrier by Joan Gordon

| They have been so much help to me. They are great reference books and I get more from them with every read (especially pedigree and genetics info).

Thank you so much for your response. I am going to order online tomorrow and thank you for the site reference. I was looking on the YTCA web site earlier and it is loaded with info about what is standard and what responsible, reputable breeders should and should not do. | I am not an experienced breeder but Breeding Better Dogs by Carmon Battaglia (sp) was one I enjoyed... as well as The Joy of Breeding Your Own Show Dog listed above. |
