| has anyone dealt w/ these breeders Hey everyone!! I have been looking at a couple of breeders I found on line. I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with them or have heard anything negative or positive about them. they are www.myperfectpuppy.com and seasideyorkies.com. oops almost forgot dynasty yorkies in indiana as well. thanks everyone I know I'm probably a big pain with all my questions(lol) I just want to make sure that I dont buy from a puppy mill or end up not geting a healthy puppy. Thanks again you guys!! |

| youre looking in an expensive price range........ myperfectpuppy is in san diego a little ways away from me, i saw their site when i was looking, but they are WAY to expensive...... for that price you could get a yorkie that is show quality........ i wouldnt suggest buying off the internet, as with everything online it can be misrepresented, you could be cheated, the puppy could be shipped sick and in poor health..... try looking in youre area for a puppy |

| Hi Sue I can give you the name of my breeder, but I am a little reluctant as Stewie is sick and was sick when we got him. I know how you feel... there are nearly no Yorkie breeders in Illinois/Wisconsin/driving distance. The only one around here that was YTCA registered wasn't going to have puppies until next year. I found a few in southern Indiana (four and a half hour drive or so from us) and Ohio (four hours). you can check them out at the breeder referral section at ytca.org

| Breeder in WI I'm getting my Lucy in a couple of weeks from a breeder in WI; she lives 1 1/2 hours north of Green Bay (I live in Green Bay). She charges around $800-850.00 (in fact, she just raised her prices the first of this year). I went through her because a lady I worked with got her Yorkie from her and he is a sweetheart and she had no problems with the breeder. She has been in the breeding business many years (20+ years, I believe). I haven't gotten Lucy yet so I really can't tell you of any problems but if you are interested, I can give you her name and number.

| Thank you for the info, and yes if you can give me some info on seaside yorkies that would be great. I just figured if I do buy from a breeder out of my state I would make sure I bought one that comes recommended from someone on this site. Every one of the pics I see of all your puppies on this site are just beautiful. Thanks again sue |

| breeders.net There are a number of breeders close to you. Breeders.net ShooterDog.com Shipping is not the best way to purchase a puppy IMO...you need to meet the breeder, speak with their vet for a referrence..see the parents and kennel. If a problem pops up, dealing across country is a headache. Read old threads and you will see why buying local is so important. Last edited by YorkieRose; 02-24-2005 at 03:36 PM. |

| A couple other good places to look are www.yorkieviews.com, or www.yorkies.com. There are breeder listings by state and many breeders in Il., In., Oh. Its always best to pick up a pup and speak to the breeder in person. |

| I Think I Have Finally Chosen(whew) Thanks for all your input!!!!! I think I have decided to go with sea side yorkies. I am going to call monique and see what she has available and hopefully I will have my pagan(possible name) by my b-day in june. I will be flying out to get her though so I can actually see the puppies and see which one has the personality I am looking for. I also dont want my puppy flying alone so I will be flying with her. I cant wait, I'm so excited i feel like a lil kid on x-mas morn(lol). Wish me luck !!!!! sue |

| Here are some pictures of my Esme Esme is 16 weeks and weighed 2.5lbs on her last vet visit 2 weeks ago. I am certain she has gained weight since then. She looks bigger and bigger every day! ) As I said, we got her at Seaside Yorkies a little over a month ago! She is an AMAZING little puppy and we are VERY happy to have her. I actually saw pictures of your Mia on their website when I was researching yorkies and breeders. My husband was against getting such a small puppy, but once he saw your pictures on the seaside yorkie website, he gave in! I JUST figured out how to resize my images and posted some on the general discussion board. I have a zillion pictures of Esme, but have only resized 6. Here are a few! Mari
