| What does Daddy do? So, I am gearing up (maybe too ready!) for Juliet to have her babies anytime within the next 10-12 days and I am wondering...what will Romo do? Do I need to keep him away? He's generally curious and loves to be around her, I am not sure how he'll react if we try and keep him away...he already goes nuts if I am outside without him! So, my question, for those of you that have daddy too...what does he do? What do WE do with him? Long day at the dog park??? LOL Thanks!

| You definitely want to keep him OUT of the same room with her for the next at least 1 month to 6 weeks. Depends on Mom, but most will NOT tolerate another dog in the same room with the babies no matter how much they love each other. It could be extremely dangerous for your male, and for the babies.

| If Romeo is smart he will keep his furry behind at a safe distance so that Juliet doesn't eat his head for dinner. Seriously though, moms generally become VERY protective of their litters. It won't matter that Romeo is her buddy when the pups get here. Keep him at a safe distance. She and pups will need a calm, quiet environment. He'll have time to play with the kiddos when they get a bit older. |

| Dogs do not mate for life...as some other animals do...so it is his job to hand out cigars.

| Yes, keep them AWAY from each other. Mom can become very protective of her litter, and she could possibly hurt Romo if he comes too close. |
