| Newborn Puppies Hi, I have a question. I am new to breeding and my Farrah just had 4 puppies early Saturday (3/27/10) morning. I am wondering if it is normal for the pups to go down slightly in weight (much like newborn babies do). They all seem to be eating just fine but the weight has slightly decreased. I've asked my mentor and she seems to think it is fine too. Also ... what's the best way to get momma to eat? It is hit or miss with her on what she'll eat and when! I try everything she likes and whichever one she'll eat, I'll feed her that until she stops. Your comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
