| Eclampsia Hi, I need some advice please regarding my bitch who is a Lab. I know I am posting on this forum but I know Eclampsia can be a problem for your breed. My bitch had eclampsia with her last litter and I know why she got it (it was food related) and she is the only bitch I have to continue my line. Has anyone bred again from a bitch who has previously had Eclampsia please and did the bitch get it again. Many Thanks. Trace x |

I do know that others have bred a bitch again, but the fear was there that it would happen, they monitored their girl and if anything out of the ordinary happened in her behavior she was administered Cal Sorb. Also kept on PetCal and scrambled eggs daily. No, soy products (calcium depleter). What I do recommend is that you discuss this with your repro vet, before even considering breeding your girl again......
