| Quick Pedigree ? Joan Gordon, in The New Complete Yorkshire Terrier, states that Jubilee Eagle sired 3 BIS winners....Ch. Cede Higgins, Ch. My Flying Colors at Jentre and Ch. Cameo Talk of the Town. The pedigree on my Bonnie shows the sire of My Flying Colors at Jentre to be Ch. Montclair Fly-By-Night. Her pedigree also shows that Jubilee Eagle sired another BIS winner...Ch. Jentre's Charger of Mistangay. Also, my pedigree shows My Flying Colors to be CH. but no BIS designation. Since these are all well known dogs, I was hoping that someone might be able to help with this. Thanks in advance. Jim

| No sure but CeDe Higgins just shows CH on mine too. A few good sites to see some pictures, peds and lineage. Ojibwa Yorkies and pedigree - Webvision4you Pedigree Database |

| Thanks for the links, but they were both dead ends for My Flying Colors. I'm thinking that the info is wrong in Gordon's book as I've seem 1 other site that shows someone's dog to have My Flying Colors in the pedigree and his sire is shown to be Montclair Fly-By-Night. I'm a little surprised that the info, if wrong in her book, wasn't corrected as I have the second edition.

I don't think the service is infallible, though. I have a few (3) dogs listed as Estago's and I think they mean it to be Estugo's.

| The Awards records only supplies you Championship. BIS is usually kept by individual owners/breeders.

Dependent on when My Flying Colors was showing/campaigned/championed, this may be one place that you get your question answered. The books go back to 1987......

| Thanks for the link, Mary. I see they have 4 editions for the Yorkshire Terrier, with the first edition going back to 1952 and the last one going up to 2001. Looks to be some must have literature. Jim

Another option is obtaining the Heritage from YTCA. AKC Stud Book prior to I don't know what year...is somewhat haphazard and accuracy a bit obscure.

I'm looking at a Pedigree from one of my Charmer's & Go-Go's offspring (AKC issued) It shows Registration #/Date entered into the stud book/Then Charmer's DNA # V-######. It doesn't show Go-Go's as at the time of this litter she wasn't DNA'd a practice that I have begun doing. Just for my own peace of mind. I know that I've been doing extensive work on my pedigrees and enter everything into my own pedigree generator (Breeder's Standard which does have the ability of entering BIS, BISS, AMERICAN, Canadian, Mex, et CH. and ROM ). I'm not sure how many generations you can obtain from an AKC pedigee? The sources I've obtained my info is from my mentor (45 years of yorkies) and other old time exhibitor/breeders. Now if you have registration #s on certain dogs you can go to AKC and plug in #s to obtain sire/dam info.....and so on and so forth......a bit tedious, but I've done it. The webvision pedigree.....as you say is a bit unreliable.....I've had to offer up info on missing gaps for my dogs and the dogs in their lines.......

| No, Mary, it's from Brewster's Pedigree Service out of Maricopa, AZ. I have the 3 gen. AKC issued one but wanted more info so I ordered a 6 gen. from the service. The one dog that I mentioned that has a cited dna # also begins with a 'V' as yours did. The other dog I mentioned has a # beginning with a "P" and is not designated to be a dna# on the pedigree so I was wondering what that was. On the subject of pedigree services, do you find them to be accurate and is there one that is preferred over the others?

As I mentioned the registration #s for your 6 generation pedigree will be listed and AKC allows you to research Registration #s without cost.....Let me do a memory jogger as to how to do that. Now you know Ruth Jenkins/Jentre is celebrating her 89th BD in the next couple of days.

Congrats to Ruth Jenkins on reaching 89! She has had some wonderful dogs in her program that have left a lasting stamp on the breed.
