Thor's Human Donating Member | Book / magazine / website recommendations? I'm interested in learning more about the breeding and genetics of yorkshire terriers, as well as the history of the AKC. This is strictly for my own curiosity. I have no interest in starting a breeding program. I have seen a few book recommendations here and there, but some of them are out of print, or the amazon reviews say they are outdated. Can anyone help me out with recs? Thanks! |

The book is a bit dated but still some of the best info on the history and other great yorkie reading. Amazon.com: The New Complete Yorkshire Terrier... Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Muriel Lee's book on breeding--can't think of the title right now. The Book of the Bitch is an excellent book on reproduction. Myra Savant Harris' latest book as well as her first two. |

| I am not a breeder but I learned a great deal about genetics in purebred breeding because of the following book...: Genetics of the Dog by Malcolm B. Willis
