| Belly Hair Do you shave the hair on your female's belly, before she whelps? One of our females has a lot of long hair, and I usually shave it so it doesn't get in the way of the newborn pups. The other female isn't too bad, so I just do a little bit on her. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Yes I always shave the belly. Sometimes I trim her whole body. The little ones can get tangled in long hair. Jenna should be due in March and I was thinking about wrapping her hair. I have never cut it and can't stand the thoughts..so I am trying to find something that will work.

| Shave with a Whal Peanut with a 30 blade on the belly and the vaginal area a couple of days before the first due date. Also, do a cut down on the body and trim the leg furnishings.....don't want to take any chances with the pups strangling....

| I definitely shave! I have a friend who had a hair get caught around the nursing puppy's tongue and if she hadn't been there she wouldn't have been able to fix the situation.

| I started shaving before our very first litter, and my husband thought I was nuts. NOW, I have proof that I did the right thing, because y'all do it too! |

| We shave it, all of it on the belly ... i tried not to shave it once but the hair fell off anyways, i guess it is mother nature taking care of it , so puppies do not get tangled up It keeps clean and easy too. XOXO
