| Signs my yorkie is going into heat I have two boys and a girl. My lil sookie will be 6 months old soon and I wanted to know what some of the signs of her going into heat are. I want to be sure I recognize it the second that it happens so I can keep her seperate from the boys. Ive researched on the internet but Im still confused. For example I know that she will swell down there but when I look at it, it already looks swollen. Will there be a significant difference between now and then. Will she act different enough for me to know that something is up? i dont want to count on blood spots because well because lets face it I have 7 kids and ive clean up ketchup or jelly stains almost on a daily basis. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks! |

| Flipping Out Today, I noticed a little red clump of blood on the dog pad. I just got a 10 month old Yorkie a few weeks ago who is not fixed. Could this mean she is going into heat?

If you continue to see blood and she is not in heat then she could have a urinary track infection.
