| Still nothing, but here's a video link! It's Day 63- She's been hiding out under my bed here and there today digging some. Her temperature is still low at 99.2 right now. Last night she was actually showing lots of signs of pre-labor- the panting, restlessness, acting strange and really clingy, keep looking at her self and licking a lot, but no digging. This morning none of that, now it's that she's digging occassionally, hiding out under the bed every now and then. Weird, but not all the signs are there at the same time. She ate very little last night, just a few bites but this morning had more of an appetite (still didn't eat as much as normal, though). Soooo...??? Yeah, we don't know what the heck is going on now, lol. Today I took a video of her belly, since her two babies were going crazy. It looks pretty funny and pretty uncomfortable too, if you ask me. :/ Since there aren't any ways to upload videos, I guess I'll just give you guys the link to our blog for Maya and the pups. Just click here to head on over to her page. We've been keeping it updated here and there. Enjoy! |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | WOW , those little pups want out of there bad!!!! That was a lot of movement; you could almost even see the paws and legs. Amazing! Wishing Maya a safe whelp.

| I love her pic on your blog. She definitely has that expression of "I am READY!" I am thinking tonight is the night.

| We endured another night, puppiless. I guess those puppies just aren't ready yet. She ate plenty this morning too, so I'm guessing it's just not time. Ralph (phoenix) and Jenn's (jenmorr) mommas were first time mothers and they didn't deliver until later, so maybe it'll be the same for Maya. ??? She's definitely not herself, nesting, hiding, and all of that, temp. is still down quite a bit but she's still eating and drinking just fine. I did sleep better though- of course I woke up like every hour still, but my sleep was much sounder than before. I'm thinking she's gonna make me wait until the middle of the week now. | Checked her temperature- is this normal??? I just checked her temp again and it read 97.7; I checked a second time to be sure and yes still 97.7. Wow! That's really low, is it too low? I've never heard of a temp. dropping that low. She's not acting any differently (other than the pre-labor signs she's been showing for the past several days). ??? Yikes! Let me give you her temp. history this past week. We started checking on Monday like twice a day, it started at around 100.8 and fluctuated between that and 100.2 until around Wednesday or Thursday when it dropped to around 99.5-99.6. It went between the 99's to 100's until Friday afternoon, when it has stayed between 98.9- 99.4. Now this morning (this is after she ate, mind you), it's the 97.7. Has anyone else had a dog's temp. drop so low before???? |
