♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Labor I just saw the thread. How is she doing? Has she started active labor yet? Is she having contractions? In general, 4 hours of pushing without a puppy is danger zone.

| Sometimes it can take several hours before the puppy presents itself after the water breaks. How long was the female left alone? What day of her pregnancy is she on? Does she have any red or green discharge? Most likely she is in early stages of labor. You might want to go ahead and contact an after hours vet and alert them that you might possible need them later. Please keep us updated. I pray your girl has a safe whelping. |

| How is she doing? Since you are not replying, I am guessing that you are busy. I hope all is going well. If nothing is happening, I would at leasst call and talk to a vet. |

| My Vet suggests if it's been 4 hours from the beginning of labor, and no pup, take her to the Vet because the placenta's will start separating and only 1 hour of active labor and pushing and no pup, take her to the Vet. Myself, I wouldn't let her push for 4 hours. Last edited by Amazing Yorkies; 10-12-2009 at 10:55 PM. |
