| She may be trying to hide them. Is she in a quiet place? You may want to cover up the whelping box.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I don't know what you're keeping her in, but try anchoring the blanket(s) down so she can't mess them up, like under the xpen (if that's what you have) and keep a doggie bed in there for her and the pups. Or I used a rubbermaid under the bed box for the first couple of weeks with a large bathroom rug on the bottom. She's probably young and a new nervous mother. She should be kept in a room away from the other dogs in the house. They are likely making her even more nervous.

| My new mothers do a lot of digging also. I keep a baby monitor in the room so if a puppy gets lost I will here it crying. |

| My Zoe was a bit like that too with her first litter. Make sure you are giving calcium and try to make sure she doesn't have many blankets. Some people use a little rug square. She will probably calm down in a day or two. |

| Until the pups are a little older and can right themselves you can try using shredded newpaper instead of blankets. Momma can 'bury' the babies and rearrange to her hearts content without tossing the poor things around.
