Yorkie Talker | Posted pictures of my new yorkie carriekay... Shes not a bad looking pup even if she is not AKC reconised because of her color. Do you think people would still be intressed in puppies from her she is A.P.R.I registered. I still would like to bread her in a year or so... |

| I don't see any pictures in the thread or on your profile. Maybe they did not take and you can add them again. But even without seeing her, just going by what you wrote, I would say no, you should not breed her. APRI is not a reputable registry. You wrote she is "not a bad looking pup, even if not regognized by AKC because of her color." I am guessing you mean she does not meet standards set forth in the AKC as established by the YTCA.

To the OP, yes, AKC DOES recognize your dog and will allow you to regsiter her. She does not however, meet the breed standard and would not allow her to be shown in AKC events. There is a big difference--one that you should have a very clear understanding of before you consider breeding. She is a lovely pup--what pup isn't adorable. However, non-standard color aside for the moment, you have no idea how she will develop as an adult and at this way you have no way of determining if she will make quality stock. Please understand this, generally, breeders not breeding to meet the standard and using the alternate registries, such as APRI that you have mentioned, are the types of breeders people are warned against. Those are two very big red flags that people are warned to look out for when considering breeders. You would be placing yourself in that category. Just something to think about. | |

| Ah, thanks for the info. Then I would say, love that adorable little baby and get her spayed as soon as safe to do so. I do like the looks of a chocolate when they are babies, very cute.
