breeder experiences wanted I'm finishing up an article on WHY it is so important to choose a reputable, experienced breeder when purchasing a Yorkie puppy. This article is to appear in the upcoming "Yorkies" issue of Popular Dogs Magazine. If anyone has personally had a bad experience with a less-than-reputable Yorkie breeder--and would be willing to share his or her experience with me--please e-mail me a.s.a.p. personally at: joanhwalker@cox.net. Thank you! Joan Hustace Walker, Freelance Writer/Author Member: The Authors Guild, DWAA

| Hi. You only want info on the "bad" breeders? What about all the stories on the "great" breeders?? Hope you get all the info you need for your article.

Yes, just trying to lead in with a good anecdote from someone who has "been there." (I've talked with some terrific YTCA officers/breeders who have shared some excellent tips on who is a quality breeder, how to find a quality breeder, and why a puppy from this breeder is so much better than one from a byb, etc.) I've "heard" a lot of horror stories--and some that weren't horror stories but the Yorkie wasn't exactly what the buyer was expecting--but haven't found someone to relate his or her story firsthand to me. So, if anyone would like to e-mail with an experience (and it can be years and years ago), please do!!

You want stories about bad breeders go here and read what the people said about different breeders. There are some real heartbreaking stories here. http://www.yorkielane.com/BadBreeders/bad_breeders.htm The first picture on the page is my dog, Misty. Last edited by admin; 05-22-2005 at 01:42 PM.

I agree I would like to hear some good stories on success! How do you get into showing and where? Alot of costs in this? Our male is going to be a 4H project this year my 12 yr old is going to use him hope he behaves and can learn something and maybe bring home a ribbon for us. He will have to put in alot of time for this, which is great! Any suggestions for him?
