| Lacey"s Temp is down Lacey's temp just took a dive. Not sure if it will stay down. But at 6:30 it was 99.8 and at 9:10 it is 98.2. She is resing now in her box. Keep your fingers crossed... |

| No puppies yet but her temp is staying in the low 98's. I was wondering is it best to put her in a quite whelping room or should I continue normal activities and just keep a watchful eye and if symptoms increase then put her in the room? I ask because she seems to get more stressed in the room even if I am near by. Not sure if stress would slow down labor from progressing. Also when she is out about the house the other dogs and cats are around her could that slow things down. She is acting fairly normal I think I am feeling contractions, she is still eating but not as much gusto. |

| Nothing yet!!!! I just don't get it. I thought that was a significant drop 99.8 to 98.2 but i guess it wasen't. I bet she will have them when I am at work. I will be so disappointed if she has them when I am gone. I have to go back to work tommorow after being home for a month. My mom is going to come over and keep an eye on her. I work 3.5 hrs so we will see. My mom has whelped German Shepards and a litter of kittens and my vet is her vet and is 1/2 a block away if she needs her and I work less then a mile from my home. |

| It took mine 24 hours after the temp dropped before she started having contractions. She never seemed to feel the pain, no panting or nesting. Just pushing. I hope everything goes well for you.

| So true "a watched pot never boils"!! Well I did get a little nervous about this drop in temp so I just called to talk to my vet and because we are unsure of when she was bred they were a little concerned and asked that I bring her in just to be on the safe side. She is confirmed of 4 puppies and they are all lined up at this time correctly and ready to go. The puppies right now look as if they willl not present a probelm with their size but since we are not sure when she will deliver the vet sad they are still growing, so we are hoping for a soonner delivery date. She did say that the tibula is visual on x-ray which apparently means it is getting close, but the vet was unable to say how close. We do know that she is not over due. Sooooo again I wait but feeling a little more at ease that things right now are looking good. By the way her last set of teats blew up today with milk from this morning to the afternoon. |

| I am sorry for both of your losses. I must be honest that is why I don't breed. There is so much more to the process then just putting together two dogs. I just feel it needs to be left up to those of you that know what you are doing and even with all that knowlege things happen. Again I am so sorry for your loss. I know I would be absolutly devestated if that were to happen so I pray everything goes well. We have had Lacey in our home for 61 days now. So we will see. |

| I am so sorry. i did not know. I have lost three and my heart broke each time. I held one little girl in the palm of my hand wrapped in a warm cloth and cried and prayed over her for what seemed forever after I had done everything I could to save her. This last litter I lost one little girl at 12 days for no reason that anyone could find. it is so heartbreaking people that don't breed, don't have a clue. And each time it happens I say I am done then I get the strength to go on thinking about all the beautiful, healthy babies I hae had. __________________ I must be honest that is why I don't breed. But the reason I posted this, was because; I hear everyone being so excited about their girls being pregnant and the can't wait until the puppies are here. I understand the excitement.....and it is a happy event, but it is also very scarey. But, once I've bred my girls and I do so reluctantly and not very often, I begin to worry......are they eating, I hope they didn't concieve too many eggs, are they going to need a C-section, are they going to absorb, or carry to term. I always pray they carry until day 60 of their 2nd breeding....then I know the pups have had enough cooking time. Oh! she did deliver 4, I still have a boy and girl breathing, fat and sassy......
